Luzette The Great….now in Boracay

Boracay Island , Philippines is for me a real piece of Paradise. Indeed , increasing influx of tourist made it possible for Boracay Island to be the world’s number one Tropical Destination according to Yahoo Travel. This means property value multiply fast providing investors the opportunity to expand and create income possibilities to hardworking Filipinos all over the archipelago.

Yes! Amazing sight of powdery white sand and blue green ocean , enable every locals and tourists to explore,  have fun, enjoy and relax. In my case , I relocated here Boracay Island after I was burned out from the Corporate life in the Metropolis because something in Boracay like the inner peace I found in here that has kept me in the right direction and perspective.

A real sense of purpose and direction gives meaning in my life. Out of nowhere , out of somewhere there’s a place called Boracay where you can be yourself.

My decision to relocate in Boracay Island, Philippines last January 2008 about five months ago was because I felt responsible to do something to uplift the Filipinos’ negative tour guide experience. As writer of Boracay Times newspaper , I discovered a lot of not so good tour guide experience in the island.

However, there were also oppression to Filipino workers and tour guides by some Foreign immigrants taking advantage of our poverty. The weakest person cannot do anything of their situation. No food to eat, nothing to buy and support their needs. What a pity. Our fellow Filipino suffer in their own homeland working more than eight hours a day and paid 2,500 pesos a month? I was shocked to know the low salaries and wages given by foreign Resort owners but the workers are helpless. They need to sacrifice or else their family gonna die of hunger.

True enough , most Filipino native of Boracay became slaves of their own territory serving the Foreigners owning huge properties in Boracay. What happen to our system? Most foreign guest explain that some tour guides, tricycle drivers took advantage by charging guest too high. Why? I discovered that, it’s because Filipino workers like boat men, tricycle drivers, waiters and workers wanted to get even and survived.So, they charged tourist double and some even triple the price.Well, can we blame them? They have nothing to eat, no one to help. Nothing…For me, We cannot blame them because there’s no government livelihood projects for them to maximize their strengths or no training institution training tour guides about professionalism of handling guest.

As per record, approximate of 70% of Hotel & Resorts owners were Foreigner’s having Filipino’s like servant’s , workers and some like slaves.I felt bad about the idea of being a slave of your own country and getting the lowest regard and respect because of lack of government support as far as getting the capital on small and medium scale business enterprise. But, these people are bound to work for them for survival.

With that scenario , I felt the need to help in my own little way to uplift the Filipinos impression in the field of tourist service. As a start we establish boracaystations dot com to provide the best online booking website that caters to all nationalities coming to Boracay. Not only that we will provide an ultimate travel experience but we will also create jobs to the locals here. We plan to train and equip tour guides with professionalism as we expand and generate bigger opportunities to any hardworking Filipinos. We intend to optimize full service booking system to provide income opportunities that can uplift the lives of some skilled Filipinos.

Using our fully equipped high skilled manpower and million dollar worth laptop memory we are sure to beat the negative impression to Filipinos in Boracay. Giving them the right training and teaching them the technology can uplift their moral values. My partners and best friends; Arelle, Paul B., Madame Beth, Sir Boy are truly determined to help our “kababayan” earn the decent way. We gonna equipped tour guides with the skills.Right now our team, Shane, Tina , Richie and Mark are excited to handle the responsibilities. In fact we are happy to share our expertise just to uplift Boracay.

My Boracay trip last January 20, 2008 was truly God’s intervention to me. Out of nothing, out of nowhere my Sales Manager in the Real Estate Industry , Bestfriend and Mentor Ms. Arelle Valla extended full support to allow me to travel with them to Boracay Island, Philippines. It was a very challenging flight considering the tedious preparation for a Sales Caravan for Crown Regency Resort & Convention Center Pre- selling Plan. Our goal is to sell the Condotel Units of Crown Regency. Work with pleasure because Boracay is known of it’s powdery white sand beach that everybody loves to explore.Dive, swim, play and relax.

True enough, as I step down the island, I was mesmerized by the unparalleled sight.It’s perfect for anyone who needs freedom, peace of mind and fun. In fact, only Boracay can offer a perfectly relaxing sight.Few weeks after my Boracay destiny, Influx of commercial events follow as well as movie filming.Wow !! I love it !!! Imagine meeting the famous top hunk of the Philippine Cinema Aga Muhlach? yes, I got the chance to talk and interview him for my Boracay Times article. as a freelance journalist and writer, I got the opportunity Interviewing sexy stars,top caliber actors and actresses of the decade. Amazing! I got the rare chance talking to World boxing Champion Manny Pacquiao. Most significantly my Boracay destiny allows me to Shake hands with the famous Billionaires Mr. Richard King , the Hotel Icon and the construction idol Mr. Victor Consunji. What a destiny I never thought I would take. It came so suddenly… unexpected… yet unforgettable.

Unbelievable, but i witnessed April 2008 not just famous celebrities in Boracay but as well as several Corporate events competing in Boracay. Del Monte Fit & Right , C2 Green tea, Smart, Globe and top companies flood the island with a lot of  corporate gifts and give aways. Influx of locals and foreign tourist were really entertained by the performers in the island.Bamboo emerge as the undefeated leading band singer rendering patriotic songs of , "Pinoy Ako", Bandila and more. Kamikazee and Ichyworms bands brought the raging fans powerful songs.
